Rack-Mountable MZR-804 Mixer-Zoner Flexible Multizone Management: 3 dedicated Zone outputs + a main output to create multiple atmospheres and broadcast levels. Comprehensive Connectivity: 6 line inputs including 2 switchable phono inputs, stereo FOH input on TRS jack, and 3.5 mm AUX input on the front panel. Clear and Priority Announcements: 2 microphone channels with 3-band equalization and adjustable talkover (Main and Zones) to bring the voice to the forefront. Integrated Safety: dedicated Emergency input that cuts off the current broadcast to prioritize an alert message. A Modern Zoning Tool for Professional Audio Installations The MZR-804 fits within the logic of installed sound systems where the goal is not only to "mix," but above all to intelligently route multiple sources to different spaces. Designed for rack integration, it centralizes inputs (music, control room, turntables, auxiliary sources) and provides an output architecture allowing control of distinct zones, while maintaining a main output for general broadcast. Who Is the MZR-804 For and In Which Applications Does It Excel? This mixer-zoner is designed for public venues: bars, restaurants, shopping centers, as well as hotels, schools, places of worship, or any facility needing to broadcast different content according to the spaces. It facilitates microphone announcements, volume management by zone, and source selection, while remaining easy to operate daily thanks to its front panel controls (faders, volumes, PFL, source selection, and headphone). Key Features: Control, Priority, and Multizone Broadcasting 6 Input Channels: From CD Player to Turntable The MZR-804 accepts 6 input channels: 4 RCA line-level inputs and 2 switchable RCA phono/line inputs. Each channel has gain adjustment, a PFL function, and a level control via fader, allowing precise source adjustment and clean preparation before sending to outputs. To integrate a "control room" source or a console (DJ, front-of-house mixer, etc.), the stereo FOH input in TRS jack format can be routed to input 6 via a FOH button on the front panel. For quick connection (smartphone, portable player), a 3.5 mm AUX input on the front panel provides an immediate, practical solution during operation. 2 Microphone Channels with Talkover: Audible Announcements Without Stress The 2 microphone inputs allow management of announcements and interventions, with global 3-band equalization, dedicated level, and talkover activation. Talkover is adjustable on the main output and on each zone: you choose where the music should lower and by how much, to achieve optimal intelligibility without delicate adjustments in real situations (service, crowd, urgent announcement). In addition to the rear TRS jack microphone inputs, a combo XLR jack input on the front panel replaces the rear Mic 1 TRS input: a real plus for quickly connecting a "guest" microphone or a temporary announcement microphone. Zone Outputs and Main Output: Shaping Each Space Each Zone output offers a processing interface designed for installation: 2-band equalization, 100 Hz high-pass filter, and output level limiter to adapt the sound according to the acoustics (reverberant room, terrace, corridor, reception area) and to secure the level sent to amplifiers. Microphone management by zone (microphone inclusion, talkover attenuation) helps maintain fine control of announcements, space by space. The main output features comprehensive connectivity (XLR, unbalanced RCA, Euroblock) and more advanced processing: 3-band equalization, limiter, and talkover-related settings (threshold and attenuation). The result: a stable, controlled, and coherent general broadcast, even when multiple operators use the system. Emergency Broadcasting: Automatic Priority for Alert Messages The Emergency input in Euroblock format gives priority to an alert message as soon as a signal is detected, by disabling the current broadcast on the main output. Advanced settings via jumpers on the PCB also allow adapting microphone behavior on different zones in case of an emergency signal. For public environments, this priority logic contributes to safer and more compliant communication operation.
